The Ministry of Health of Egypt has announced a new human case of A(H5N1) avian influenza infection.

The Ministry of Health of Indonesia has announced a new case of human infection of H5N1 avian influenza. A 34-year-old female from Tangerang District, Banten Province developed symptoms on 2 July, was hospitalized on 4 July and died on 7 July. Laboratory tests were positive for H5N1 virus infection. Investigations into the source of her infection are ongoing.
